Director, Strategic Alliances
What We Need
Element Fleet Management is looking to add a Director of Strategic Alliances to our team. As a Director, Strategic Alliances with Element, you will be responsible for development, maintenance, and ownership of multiple assigned business partner (both internal and supplier) relationships, as well as developing and implementing sourcing and category strategies aligned with client and business goals to meet the businesses' short- and long-term needs/objectives. Uses developed communication and negotiation skills in dealing in multiple commodities with direct suppliers.

*** This position will be based out of our Hopkins MN office (3 days per week T,W,TH in office). ***
A Day in the Life
40% Managing / building the supply chain working directly with suppliers to establish the contractual relationships following Elements strategic alliances guidelines. This will require travel to suppliers and industry events.
The role is accountable for developing business strategy, meeting revenue targets ~ (2 MM annual), business growth initiatives and targets, cost reduction and supplier and client satisfaction results.

Foster collaboration, teamwork, and continuous learning to deliver superior client service, solidify supplier relationships and maximize employee engagement. Coach, challenge, motivate and proactively manage all team members to deliver best in class service.
Responsible for the training, development, implementation, and management of team and individual Goals & Objectives that are aligned with the BSC goals of the organization.
20% Building and communicating supply chain category strategies by working collaboratively with business peers on defining the needs of the business
20% Establishing and reporting on supply performance as measured by supply chain scorecards and service level performance. Includes working collaboratively with business partners to identify and resolve any performance related opportunities.
10% Supporting business growth including cross functional reviews of business performance, identification of growth opportunities, etc.
10% Supply chain and business administrative responsibilities
Requirements
Undergraduate degree required with MBA preferred in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Business Operations.
7+ years in a strategic supply chain role building and managing a national network of suppliers that have delivered increasing improving service levels
Success in building, implementing, and managing supply chain scorecard to deliver improved service levels
Contracting, Procurement, Supply Chain and Supplier Relationship Management experience strongly preferred
Strong leadership, people management skills, and influencing skills
Demonstrated experience in managing sourcing and procuring with strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable supplier agreements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Project management experience to include ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and key initiatives according to budget and deadline requirements
Knowledgeable in the sourcing process - able to leverage experience and knowledge from previous projects
Experience in performing trend analysis and forecasting
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, data-driven approach to decision-making.
Demonstrated analytical, consultation, and negotiation skills; often in complex agreements
Experience in identifying and implementing operational and process efficiencies using up-to-date technology solutions
