Job Description

The Engineering Technician performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, but receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.

Essential Functions

Assists with the building of unique prototypes and production level products, by following specific layout instructions.

Assist in the design and engineering of these prototypes.

Works in a team manufacturing environment or will work alone.

Has ongoing communication with the Supervisor and Engineering to assist in problem solving and documenting changes.

Works with a variety of materials, such as aluminum, steel composite, as well as soft goods including leather and foam.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma

2 years of mechanical experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

A willingness to learn is a must. We will train you in every aspect of your job.

Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and automated tools

Welding skills preferred, but not required

Database maintenance with Excel preferred, but not required

Ability to read/understand computer generated prints

Knowledge of Mil-Spec components preferred, but not required
