JOB SUMMARY The Human Resources (HR) Intern will be exposed to many HR functions within the department, with an emphasis on Talent Acquisition and HR Administration. The incumbent will gain extensive knowledge and skills working closely with our Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Specialist, to ensure staffing needs are met for our Residential Communities. This is a full-time temporary position during the months of June through December. Special consideration will be given to recent college graduates with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, looking to gain valuable experience. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Administration Assists with writing engaging job ads and posting positions on internal and external sites Effectively utilizes Greenhouse ATS to support Talent Acquisition workflows Administers drug screens, launches background checks, and completes other recruiting responsibilities Administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks Assists with New Hire Orientation preparation Assists with auditing, tracking, and updating Job Descriptions Works closely with HR Team to complete other duties as assigned Screening and Interviewing Performs timely and thorough resume reviews for assigned requisitions Conducts effective screening interviews, and completes interview documentation quickly and professionally Schedules face to face interviews with hiring managers Communication Demonstrates professionalism and respectfully interacts with all candidates (internal and external) Communicates effectively with HR Team, Hiring Managers, and all other internal and external customers Assists with creating recaps, running reports, and creating documents to share with internal customers Ensures timely communication to Hiring Managers regarding assigned positions Rotational/Special Assignments Participates in assignments throughout all aspects of the employee life cycle, gaining exposure to all facets within the Human Resources department Works closely with entire HR Team, assisting with various projects to leverage technology and audit files Actively participates in projects to bring key initiatives to closure by the deadline Works closely with HR Team to maintain a strong culture and enhance the employee experience QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: To be considered, applicants will have: Obtained or working towards a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Must have a strong desire to learn, and the ability to catch on quickly in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated high spirit to serve with prior customer service experience a must Proven ability to multi-task, as well as work independently and in a team setting Must have strong verbal and written communication skills Strong Microsoft Excel and data management skills Skills and Abilities: Fluent in English and skilled in oral and written communication Ability to use tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public Ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals and meet deadlines Ability to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions Excellent communicator (oral and written) including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
