The Cost Accounting Manager:


Owns the standard cost process including updating material, labor, and overhead costs annually.
Develops financial models to evaluate new customer proposals, and estimates costs of new products and processes.
Supports CFO with financial models related to M&A activities.
Plans, studies, and collects data to determine costs of business activity (raw material purchases, inventory and labor).
Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Performs audits of costs and prepares follow up reports.
Creates reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products, processes and services.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:


Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business major required.
Five plus years relevant work experience in cost accounting.

Work Environment/Physical Activities:


Proficient in using various Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to:

Interface effectively with all levels of management and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
Work within a team environment as well as independently.
Manage time & priorities and work well under pressure.

Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation

We began in Dayton in 1964 as the region's first centralized blood bank. Solvita collects and provides all blood products for hospitals in our 15-county region and beyond.


The tissue bank was born in 1986 and is now one of the nation's largest tissue banks. Solvita recovers, processes, and distributes human tissue grafts and is the nation's largest non-profit provider of skin grafts for burn patients.
