| Job Description: |
IPS Cranes is looking for a CNC machinist to join our team in Duluth, Minnesota.
IPS Cranes builds and services locomotive cranes at our main service facility in Duluth, Minnesota. We specialize in part manufacturing and crane service. We are also a local job shop; we provide machining services to other manufactures in our area and to the surrounding communities.
As a machinist at IPS Cranes you will have the opportunity of working with our designers, engineers, and our customers to develop and introduce new methods to our manufacturing process and to assist us with our daily efforts in continuous improvement.
Job duties:
Setting up and operating CNC machines, such as lathes and mills
Reading and interpreting blueprints
Some experience in using CAM software is preferred
Writing and editing CNC programs
Performing quality inspections and measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
