The McKesson Cell, Gene, and Advanced Therapies business is at the forefront of healthcare innovation, specializing in the development of services that support groundbreaking therapies that are revolutionizing patient care. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and self-starting candidate with a broad background in sales operations / effectiveness.
This role will be responsible for the following:
Strategic development and the execution of concise, compelling, customer-focused written materials that promote McKesson's cell and gene service offerings
Support of sales through research and presentation development
Refinement and ownership of the proposal process
Defining the sales pipeline
Ownership and Management of proposal technology to include writing, presentation and final submission
Work in conjunction with marketing, subject matter experts, business development and sales, and senior leaders to develop cell and gene therapy capability responses to commonly asked questions.
Conduct research and collect responses to specific proposal questions
Manage the technology supporting the proposal process.
In partnership with the clinical team and market research team, refine the drug pipeline to identify high priority sales targets.
Support sales metrics development and tracking.
Support sales force technology processes as needed
As part of a nimble, entrepreneurial team, support commercial operations as needed (e.g., trainings, reporting, process improvements)
Support coordination of sales meetings at conferences as needed
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education
4-year bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field or equivalent experience
Critical Skills
7+ years of relevant experience in proposal management or marketing experience including proposal development and management, project management, sales support, sales operations
3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical services industry
+ years of experience in supporting a sales team with unique sales solutions, proposal support, client engagement, and industry knowledge.
Additional Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships across multi-business units, management teams, business partners, current and prospective clients
Knowledge of proposal best practices, research processes, analysis, and negotiation skills.
Preference for APMP certification.
Excellent grammar, vocabulary, research, writing and editing skills.
Proficiency with CRM Software such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong prioritization, time management and project management skills
Ability to function independently, demonstrate flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams
Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$94,800 - $158,000
