ManpowerGroup 1st Shift Production Cook in Irvine, California

Our client is the third-largest food and beverage company in North American are seeking a Production Cook to join their team.

What will you be doing?

  • As a Production Cook you will be responsible for your safety and the safety of others. You will also be accountable for producing high-quality products following batch sheets, step by step, and following all OSHA, USDA, FDA, and HACCP rules and regulations.

  • Responsibilities include preparation of raw ingredients for batch cooks, including opening, staging, and tempering of ingredients for batches of soups, sauces, and dressings ensuring that all quality standards and customer specifications are adhered to.

  • Effectively complete daily pre-start checklists for all kettles

  • Effectively complete cleaning/sanitizing of kettles during and after production usage following changeover procedures.

  • Verify all ingredients that have been set up are correct per the recipe ensuring accuracy, quality, and expiration (all ingredient identification, allergen labels, etc)

  • Load ingredients into the kettle in the order designated per the recipe.

  • Perform quality sensory checks as required per batch produced.

  • Operate kettle controls as necessary to cook products; ensure appropriate gallons are produced through dipsticks.

  • Transfer ingredients in barrels from plastic pallets to metal carts

  • Operate steam and water valves as necessary to complete the cooking process.

  • Conduct and document all preparation processes on the recipes.

  • Track and document daily measurements and quality checks.

  • Report any downtime to the Production Lead following the escalation process.

What do you bring?

  • Previous Production Cook experience with a minimum of 1 year required.

  • Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)

  • Great attitude and ability to work in a team.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED)

  • Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
