This position serves as a Stakeholder engagement specialist in the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies Office (AMMTO) to advance programmatic goals and objectives through stakeholder engagement, providing technical knowledge and content expertise to help communicate program information to various stakeholders both internal and external to DOE.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Guidance:
- Provide external outreach planning and support, including identifying and executing the best way to engage with audiences on program-related issues, announcements, and technical outcomes.
- Use programmatic technical knowledge to guide the development of amplification plans, provide analysis on target audiences, and create technical content for related engagement assets.
Technical Content:
- Leverage programmatic technical knowledge to provide content, help draft, and review messaging for program, EERE, and DOE leadership speaking engagements and briefing documents.
- Provide technical content and review for outreach documents including presentations, newsletters, fact sheets, success stories, and technology office websites, as well as content to be reviewed for the DOE website.
External Engagement:
- Develop stakeholder engagement strategies for announcements and initiatives – using programmatic technical knowledge to identify target audiences, goals, and calls to action.
- Provide technical knowledge support for media relations, coordinating with DOE Public Affairs and EERE, ensuring the right questions and information are disseminated by DOE experts on a particular topic.
