ManTech Infrastructure and Platform Tier 2 Technical Team Lead in Herndon, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Infrastructure and Platform Tier 2 Technical Team Lead to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The position may be based in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, or Chandler, AZ.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee all Tier 2 operations for network infrastructure, platform, cloud, system, application, and cybersecurity services for a federal customer.

  • Lead and mentor a team of Tier 2 operators

  • Ensure effective analysis, technical expertise, and troubleshooting beyond those available at Tier 1 as required for incident response, resolution, and recovery related to network management, cloud, and cybersecurity incidents

  • Provide continuous tracking and reporting of network component failures and escalations through resolution and restoration of service

  • Track, measure, and report on agreed upon performance metrics

  • Ensure timely, accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders and escalation points

  • Manage staff schedules to ensure coverage for ongoing operations and surge events

  • Develop and maintain staff training plan

  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and implement improvement actions in coordination with and as approved by the leadership team

  • Maintain and continuously improve Tier 2 SOPs

  • Lead daily operations and status briefing to senior internal and external stakeholders

  • Support change and configuration management processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Cisco CCNP certification

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level or similar

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field

  • A minimum of (5) five years of IT technical experience in WAN routing and switching experience in an engineering support capacity in WAN networks

  • A minimum of (5) five years of experience managing a geographically diverse team (40+) of multifunctional network or cybersecurity professionals in a 24x7x365 environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS or Azure certifications

  • ITIL v4 certification

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • A current Top-Secret with clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Must be able to obtain DHS EOD suitability

  • Active DHS EOD suitability

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
