Southeast Asian Community Engagement Intern - Minneapolis, MN
Starting salary for candidate who meets minimum requirements (Experience will be compensated): $17/hour
Typical Schedule: 20-25 hours/week - all positions are benefits eligible.

What to expect:
Under immediate supervision of the Manager of Southeast Asian Engagement, the Southeast Asian Intern will perform a wide variety of functions. Support the Manager of Southeast Asian Engagement with community outreach, table at various events, assist with Mother/Daughter retreats, and perform research on Asian organizations across our five-state affiliate. The Southeast Asian Intern are advocates in implementing our mission "Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all." They may perform other related duties as assigned.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 20-25 hours per week, some weekends from 10am-5pm. Internship begins May and ends in August.
Responsibilities:
This position will impact us with the following contributions:
Assist in community outreach
Table at various community events
Help support and engage with current community partners
Establish new community partnerships
Assist in running Mother/Daughter Retreats
Conduct data entry
Conduct research on Asian organizations across our five-state affiliate
Minimum Qualifications:
High-school degree or GED
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in community health, public health, human services, social services, social work, communication, or education.
Experience working with Southeast Asian communities
Knowledge of Southeast Asian culture or can speak a Southeast Asian Language
Learning Objective:
At the end of the internship, the Southeast Asian Intern will have acquired knowledge and skills in education and engagement working with diverse communities as well as gain dexterity in sexual health education.

Technology skills including basic computer and applicable software skills
Ability to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and create a positive environment that demonstrates PPNCS' commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Benefits:
This position is eligible for paid time off (PTO), Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), and participation in the 403 (b) retirement plan.
