3 Full-Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 03/18/2024 - 07/27/2024. Ag Mechanic: Primarily in a shop environment; exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, and all types of weather and temperature conditions; exposure to hazardous traffic conditions; work and or walk on various types of surfaces or terrain. Essential Functions and Basic Duties: Following the supervisors instructions, the mechanics will diagnose, repair and overhaul engines, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems, etc. for various powered and rolling equipment such as cars, trucks, buses, farm equipment and generators. The workers will maintain appropriate service and repair records. May infrequently and sporadically engage in equipment repair in fields. Heavy truck driver: Truck will primarily haul plants from greenhouses, fields groves to stores and packing facilities. Workers must be able to operate tractors, trailers, semi-trailers, 26 foot trucks and have adequate knowledge to make minor adjustments or repairs to these vehicles. Must have a CDL or equivalent license. Truck drivers must have and maintain a suitable driving record. In addition, truck drivers may be required to load unload, stage racks, retrieve empty racks, empty product racks. Follow respect and abide by all local, state, and federal regulations and traffic laws pertaining to functions of driver of the company vehicles. Operate the vehicle in a manner consistent with responsible practices to avoid abuse, theft, neglect or disrespect of the equipment. This includes keeping the inside and outside of the vehicle clean and verifying that the vehicle is serviced. It is mandatory for drivers and passengers to use seat belts and shoulder harness. Passengers are not allowed in the vehicles without authorization. The use of vehicle is restricted to authorized driver(s) only. Truck drivers must pay attention to and practice safe driving techniques and adherence to existing safety requirements. Accurate complete and timely reporting to management of all moving violations, vehicle thefts and or accidents is required of drivers. Truck drivers must be physically and mentally healthy. Each worker is expected to be able use GPS to drive vehicles efficiently and safely through all types of roadways. Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
