PeopleReady Commercial Carpenter in Washington, District Of Columbia
PeopleReady Skilled Trades is a specialized division of PeopleReady, a TrueBlue company. Since 1987, we continue to connect tradespeople and work across a wide range of trades including plumbing, carpentry, electrician, and HVAC. We are currently hiring Carpenters and Helpers who possess a genuine passion for manual work and are willing to contribute their skills at various commercial jobsites. Note: The pay rate for this job is $22 - $25 /hour
Responsibilities:
Hang cabinets, doors, custom trim, frameworks, floors, and other wooden structurers.
Erect scaffolding and ladders Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work.
Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
Use various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or verbal instructions.
Qualifications:
Ability to work 40 to 50 hours per week; 3 to 5 verifiable working experience.
Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints as well as safety procedures
OSHA 10 Construction Safety.
Solid math and problem-solving skills.
Capable of working in various weather conditions.
Physically able to perform task such as lifting, climbing, and rigging.
