Looking for a motivated person who has experience working with people with disabilities to find and keep competitive employment. 245D knowledge and experience is required. This position will oversee Bemidji, Moorhead, Brainerd and Rochester locations.
Job Summary:
As the Statewide Director of Employment First Services, you will participate as a member of the team, fostering an environment which supports individuals in Employment Services. You will oversee operations of multiple programs statewide and ensure quality services are delivered to people in Employment Services as well as manage the daily activities for Employment First Services, Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Waiver Employment Service programs, and state contracts and grants. In addition, you will manage CARF requirements to ensure continuation of funding, coordinate and complete the Extended Employment program and Performance Based Vocational Rehabilitation billing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Services and one year of experience or a combination of education and/or lived experience in the field of Human Services equal to five years of service, meeting 245D requirements for a Designated Manager.
Minimum of three years experience with employment services/workforce development or working with individuals who have mental health barriers to employment and staff supervision in grant funded programs.
CPR certificate, First Aid (when required), and medication administration training required - can be obtained after hire.
Training in supervisory skills, team building, and leadership.
Background study (BGS) clearance is required.
Driver's license required. Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record required. Use of personal vehicle for agency business; requires dependable vehicle, and insurance meeting legal requirements.
Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of community resources and job development strategies.
Creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
Prefer prior experience in managing program outcomes, grant writing, and developing program budgets.
