Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing financial planning, analysis and reporting for the Engineering Advanced technology organization. Key stakeholders are Senior Executive Engineering leader, Commercial Engines finance and operations, FP&A leadership as well as external stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Management of a team of people covering the full range of financial reporting and consolidation.

  • Partnering with senior executive engineering leader on strategic direction of the 500+ advanced technology organization

  • Participate in cross functional team in developing and maintaining business cases for RISE technology programs

  • Lead a global cross functional team on external customer funding opportunities for advanced technology pursuits

  • Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function.

  • Lead in the culture of the engineering finance organization

  • LEAN learning and application to continuous improvement across the organization

  • Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.

  • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations.

  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college with concentration in accounting or finance

  • 6+ years of finance experience including financial closing and consolidation.
