Bennett Aerospace Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Physical Scientist in Washington, DC.
Position Responsibilities:
Apply standardized mathematical formulas, principles, and methodology to technological problems in engineering and physical sciences in relation to specific industrial and research objectives, processes, equipment, and products.
Provide scientific subject matter expertise to better inform S&T investment decisions, technology maturation, and transition readiness.
Perform cross-discipline technology scouting activities to identify existing and emerging technologies that correspond to customer needs and/or provide a technological advantage to the warfighter; leverage government, industry, academia, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, and University Affiliated Research Center networks to identify these technologies.
Conduct research, analyses, or experiments in laboratories for quality or process control, or to develop new products or knowledge.
Exercise a high degree of originality and sound judgement in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad engineering/scientific concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems, and developing new and improved techniques and methods.
Interpret, organize, and execute projects concerned with unique or controversial items having a major effect on the programs.
Apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and makes independent decisions.
Position Requirements:
MA/MS Degree in a physical science field (Including Physics, Atmosphere and Space, Chemistry, and Materials)
Bachelor’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience relevant to labor category’s functional description may be substituted for a Master’s Degree
Over ten (10) years’ experience performing work related to Physical Science.
