Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Fletcher, North Carolina

Description

We are offering a role in the finance industry, located in Fletcher, North Carolina, United States. The position involves duties associated with an Accounts Payable Specialist, focusing on processing, verifying, and reconciling supplier invoices, generating customer invoices and statements, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accounting records.

Responsibilities:

• Process and match supplier invoices to packing slips and purchase orders daily.

• Verify pricing of supplier invoice against purchase order and quantity of invoice against receiving documentation, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Follow up with suppliers promptly as needed.

• Process customer invoices daily and reconcile incoming customer payments to open invoices.

• Follow up on customer requests promptly as needed.

• Set up new suppliers and customers in ERP system as needed.

• Submit sales & use tax reports and payments.

• Monitor aging accounts payable and accounts receivable balances, following up with customers on past due payments.

• Assist with Physical Inventory Counts and support year end audit process.

• Learn additional functionality in the ERP system, work procedures and expand financial knowledge in areas.

• Review accounting discrepancies with appropriate department.

• Perform related clerical duties.

• Execute other duties assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

• Proven skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Proficiency in Data Entry and Invoice Processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with large ERP - preferably SAP

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent education with combination of work experience required. - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
