Role Purpose:

To prepare for and perform the molding of parts to meet all requirements, including delivery and/or subsequent production schedules.

Other Significant Role Requirements:

Supervision: None

Customer Focus: This is a highly visible position with a critical impact on the company’s future. Internal and external contacts include all levels of employees within the company, division management, consultants, and other professional business contacts within the industry. External contacts are key to the effective execution of the objectives of the company. Frequently these interactions will involve extremely complex, emotional, and sensitive issues. Success in this area is vital for the development of the existing and future business.

Critical Competencies:

  • Ability to follow work instructions.

  • Ability to calculate ratios from formulas and apply to weights of compounds.

  • Ability to use scales to weigh accurately in small quantities.

  • Attention to detail required.

  • Good basic mathematical abilities including the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations required.

    Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work standing up for up to 4 hours at a time.

  • Adequate dexterity for using various hand tools.

  • Visual acuity to inspect finished parts.

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds several times a day.

  • Ability to push and pull up to 200 pounds on and off carts and shelves 2 to 4 times a day.

  • Ability to use manual chain hoist and pry bars.

  • Some bending is required (sandblasting).

    Experience:

    Minimum HS diploma or GED required. Prior molding experience preferred. Prior experience with mechanical assembly/disassembly preferred.
