Contracts Management Associate, US Medical

Lexington, MA

The Associate, Contracts Management, US Medical will serve as the Super User for all US Medical-wide contracts management related operational and administrative aspects. The role will additionally provide operational and high-level administrative support to US Medical Operations. Specific duties include:

  • Coordination and processing of US Medical contracts in an effective and efficient manner while remaining within agreed-upon timelines and using Takeda’s applicable systems and processes

  • Development and implementation support of US Medical business operations processes, policies, and best practices, including, but not limited to contracting-related processes

  • General infrastructure and project support for US Medical Operations

US Medical Contracting Activities:

  • Manage and prioritize contracting activities between US Medical functions and business partners to ensure that the contracting process is on track as scheduled.

  • Provide support for the fee-for-service healthcare provider contracting process, as required.

  • Follow the process for managing agreements in the relevant Takeda systems, applying proper processes to each contractual situation.

  • Provide transparency by clearly communicating with project owners and internal business partners the status of pending and existing contracts and related requests.

  • Ensure that third parties receive fully executed agreements, and that documentation is provided to various internal Takeda functional areas (e.g., legal, accounting/finance) as needed.

  • Maintain and update applicable Takeda systems for pending contracts.

  • Deliver and monitor contracting metrics to assess performance against targets and identify any process efficiency roadblocks and/or opportunities.

  • Assist in the development and mapping of operational processes to support all contract activities of US Medical, including training materials, process flows, and onboarding tools.

US Medical Business Operational Support:

  • Provide general operational and logistical support in the coordination and execution of US Medical Operations projects and initiatives, including but not limited to reporting, data analytics, communications, internal events.

  • Support maintenance of US Medical Business Operations SharePoint site.

  • Contribute to best practice business initiatives to enhance execution and streamline business operations processes

  • Evaluate business operations tracking tools to ensure viability and provide leadership with recommendations on any changes.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, science, or finance preferred

  • Previous experience in healthcare industry as operational support preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Process management and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and propose solutions

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and professional presence to effectively partner and collaborate with Medical colleagues at all levels (peer to Executive)

  • Strong , analytical and time management skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new computer-based systems and software

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Exhibit Takeda Core Competencies/Leadership Behaviors as appropriate for level desired.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May travel 10% of time, primarily within US with occasional international travel

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Hybrid role, based in Lexington, MA. Must be able to attend in-person meetings in Lexington and occasionally in Cambridge, MA as business necessitates.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$56,000.00 - $88,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
