The Test Technician provides technical testing support to engineering, manufacturing, and customers to support ANS products. Provides responsive and pro-active testing support on form, fit, and function of existing products, new products, product test qualification, compatibility, product failure analysis, installation, and applications testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop test processes for any qualification, engineering, or customer required product testing.

Execute per test processes and provide full report documentation.

Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.

Maintain reports in a centralized area for each product and family of products.

Assist in monthly manufacturing test report compilation and analysis.

Work directly with third party UL inspector and support related product audits.

Assist other business sites with environmental testing, technical support, and troubleshooting.

Write test scripts to support final test of fiber product lines after final assembly. 

Support electrical engineering with product firmware regression testing.

Troubleshoot and root cause analysis for power panel issues.

Troubleshoot and root cause analysis for fiber optic failures.

Be able to create fiber routing suggestions and diagrams for each product.

Assist design engineering and applications engineering with troubleshooting product field issues.

Participates in review of new product designs to learn and aid engineering in the development of new products.

Assist in evaluating the functional characteristics of new and existing products for conformance to industry standards.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Demonstrates integrity in all business activities.

Works on tasks centered around activities that have moderate exposure to ANS and our customer.

Develops solutions to problems of limited complexity. Assisted by senior level staff in completing more complex assignments and implementing designs.

Follows up with key stakeholders to ensure that problems are resolved.

Contributes to the establishment of goals and receives assignments for those goals.

Interacts with people to build productive working relationships. Participates in team project
