Role Purpose

Responsible for driving lending growth for Capricorn Society Financial Services (CSFS) business, the role will strongly collaborate with internal Capricorn teams; specifically Processing, Sales distribution, Credit, Compliance, and Marketing, to develop and deliver sales strategies.

The Finance Business Development Manager will interact both directly and indirectly with Members & Suppliers (customers) through promotion and championing the CSFS value proposition to Market, along with supporting new loan origination.

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes

• Customer-centric (Members, Suppliers, Users) led approach to understanding needs, problems and opportunities.

• Goal orientated with demonstrated high

• A commercial approach with exceptional negotiating skills with an ability to price for risk.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• A strong customer service focus for both internal and external clients

• Understanding of financial systems and end to end lending process

• Understanding of business structures and business credit assessment.

• Ability to assess and write business credit

• Critical thinking - The ability to understand and analyse problems and find solutions.

• Problem solving - The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.

• Decision making -The ability to make balanced commercial decisions

Experience

• 3-5 years commercial finance, Banking and or Asset Finance

• Proven experience in dealing with customers

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.

Desired

• Experience in Workplace training & facilitation

• Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Customer (KYC)
