A growing company is looking for a Controls Technician to join their weekend team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and safety. The schedule for this role is Fri-Sun from 6a-630p. Are you ready to lead the charge in maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment? If you're passionate about fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality, we want you on our team.

The ideal candidate has a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with at least three years of experience and an associate degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), PLCs (Allen Bradley), VFD and basic computer skills.

responsibilities:

  • Support material handling, mobile equipment, HVAC, and building maintenance across more than three million square feet of distribution space.

  • Maintain and upgrade sophisticated material handling conveyors and state-of-the-art sortation systems to ensure productivity and competitiveness in a 24/7 business environment.

  • Utilize the latest tools, technology, and equipment for maintenance and upgrades.

  • Foster a supportive work environment and provide opportunities for career growth.

  • Prioritize the development and training of team members, promoting from within to build and grow careers.

  • Support material handling automation systems in the distribution centers.

  • Become an expert in supporting multiple custom automation systems.

  • Understand software applications, application communication with PLCs, application communication with hosts, database structures, and system redundancy
