Position Summary: FT Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter)

Outreach is in search of a qualified candidate to fill the full-time position of Talent Acquisition Specialist at Richmond Hill, Queens headquarters. The Recruiter is an integral part of the Human Resources team, ensuring that the right candidates are moved forward in the employment process. This position reports to the Director of Human Resources. This is a FT in-person exempt position. The schedule for this position is either 8:30a-4:30p or 9:00a-5:00p, to be discussed prior to hiring. This NY based position salary range is $65,000 - $75,000.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, master’s degree preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of internet recruiting and sourcing of candidates using the Boolean method across diverse job boards and the internet. Certification from an accredited recruiting association.

  • 3-5 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a large nonprofit or behavioral healthcare agency.

  • Ability to travel among Outreach sites.

  • Must have established contacts to ensure placements.

  • Need to have strong interpersonal skills and concise ability to communicate position’s needs to external vendors.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) background.

  • Top-notch organizational skills, including attention to career sites’ billing cycles.

  • SHRM Certification desired.

  • Must have flexibility in the role; priorities change quickly.

Job Scope:

  • Recruit all staff positions throughout the organization.

  • Develop relationships with hiring managers via program visits; and communicating regularly through email and phone to ensure needs are met.

  • Ensure recruitment and retention practices attract a diverse workforce.

  • Establish effective working relationships with community organizations, colleges/universities’ training programs, and additional recruitment sources.

  • Organize and schedule Outreach Job Fairs at various sites.

  • Participate in Job Fairs to build relationships with other nonprofit agencies.

  • Work with Development and Social Media teams to recruit through social media platforms.

  • Maintain and utilize the ADP tracking system on a continual basis.

  • Compile weekly and monthly recruitment metrics, such as time to fill a specific position.

  • Use ADP tracking data to establish which positions need the most immediate attention.

  • Track advertising spending; prepare monthly reports for recruitment and placement.

  • Conduct prescreening interviews and forward potential candidates to hiring managers.

  • Maintain current job descriptions; develop new JDs as needed.

  • Attend professional development training to keep informed on the latest developments in talent and workforce development.

  • Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to travel among assigned sites and locations as needed.
