BUNZL BPD Sales Product Specialist - MRO in Riverside, Missouri

This position will be responsible for creating, developing, and driving product line growth (PLG) within the following target markets: bakery, produce, and meat processing. In addition to serving as a business development partner, the Specialist will build customer relationships, handle customer complaints and inquiries, and effectively communicate with all appropriate internal departments and personnel. The Specialist will be responsible to coordinate with the Account Managers to identify (MRO) Maintenance Repair Operations, plant floor, and storeroom opportunities.

The ideal candidate should reside in the Midwest.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase PLG through greater penetration within existing accounts, while also building business with new accounts

  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

  • Implement and manage pricing strategies within all accounts

  • Initiate additional sales by identifying Cost Savings Opportunities (Consolidate MFG’s, Item Level Pricing, Inventory Reduction)

  • Attend meetings and meet with manager on a regular basis

  • Communicate and cooperate in a productive manner with all departments

  • Utilize all appropriate VIP (Dimensions of Professional Selling) techniques and methodologies

Requirements:

  • High school graduate required: Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Required to work independently, with minimal supervision.

  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers and outside parties.

  • Exceptional analytical, organizational and oral/written communication skills.

  • Ability to utilize acceptable mathematical skills.

  • Demonstrate a friendly and professional experience.

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required.

  • Experience with IBM I-Series/AS400 operating system highly desired.

  • Significant travel is required often with overnight stays.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Occasional International travel required.
