Omega Engineering, Inc. Description:

The Senior Planner plays a key role in Material Planning the DwyerOmega team. The Senior Planner engages with their team to attain DwyerOmega goals and deliverables including but not limited to achieving 90% on-time delivery, 95% customer lead time expectation and working capital objectives. Act quickly on any supply chain disruption and production capacity constraints by updating realistic lead times to meet due dates of incoming new orders. Manage inventory levels to improve working capital while meeting customer needs. Maintain the integrity of the data within a MRP system from a planning aspect.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Evaluate, determine and maintain correct safety stock levels for both Manufacturing and White label products.
  • Manage accurate lead times in ERP system to align with inventory availability and production capacity.
  • Establish proper Kanban inventory levels in work cells.
  • Participate effectively in Supply- S&OP sessions.
  • Work with Product Management to establish customer lead time expectation and appropriate service levels.
  • Drive effective decision-making through data analytics and execute data reporting as necessary.
  • Support planning leaders to achieve working capital objectives and execute global inventory optimization.
  • Interface with customer-focused and manufacturing teams to execute actions to meet company targets.

Requirements:

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering or equivalent work experience in manufacturing environment.
  • 5-7 years minimum experience in planning & inventory control.
  • Working knowledge of an ERP/MRP system in a manufacturing and/or E-Commerce environment.
  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement tools highly preferred.
  • APICS certification (CPIM/CSCP) preferred.

Essential/Preferred Skills :

  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Self-starter and able to thrive in a fast pace environment.
  • Strong ERP / MRP experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Suite (including Excel, Office, Powerpoint).
  • Exposure to analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written, verbal communication skills and organizational skills.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee may be required to sit for longer period of time to operate a computer and keyboard.
