That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

As the Team Lead, IT Systems Specialists at DriveTime, your role will involve overseeing a team of Systems Specialists supporting our internal corporate applications and 3rd party applications such as iSeries (CLASS), SHAW, Square9, Globalscape FTP, and Bottomline, ensuring effective execution, optimization, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of System Specialists, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement strategies aligned with business objectives.

  • Oversee the team’s work intake channels and manage the backlog, prioritizing tasks based on changing requirements

  • Analyze performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal/external stakeholders to streamline communication processes and enhance the customer experience.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance processes for the team.

  • Oversee the support relationship with various third-party vendors.

  • Manage internal ticket escalation processes, serving as a point of contact for escalated issues and driving resolution within the team. Identify ticket trends and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution and effective communication throughout the escalation process.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, training and/or work experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of Enterprise support for tier III applications, including incident management

  • A minimum of 3 years of team leadership or management role history, demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.

  • Excellent project management skills, with emphasis in managing and maintaining project metrics including regular project status reports to key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.

Tech Stack Preferences:

  • AS400/’IBM iSeries’ experience

  • FTP Administration Experience, Globalscape preferred

  • Square9

  • Bottomline

  • Transact-SQL/MySQL/iSQL

  • MongoDB Experience

  • Workflow management, Jira preferred.
