Job Posting Description
The Office of Faculty Development (OFD) Program Manager will be responsible for :
- Working with department senior leadership in overseeing, implementing, and evaluating program goals and objectives.
- Managing and overseeing OFD workshops and educational events, including planning and scheduling events, coordinating facility logistics, preparing presentation materials and handouts, arranging virtual and hybrid schedules, and budgeting expenses.
- Communicating with faculty members to plan and coordinate their educational presentations. Collecting, organizing, maintaining, and updating all continuing education documentation.
- Supporting the Faculty Director in preparing and managing the OFD operating and capital budget.
- Overseeing project and initiative management, including preparing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and facilitating meetings.
- Overseeing daily administrative operations of the Office, including administering payments and reimbursements, ordering supplies, maintaining current departmental records, and updating and managing shared files.
- Collecting funding, promotion, and retention data for fellowship awardees.
- Monitoring the career development of faculty, charting collection of HMS and BCH data on women and UiM faculty along with HA Analytics and other data needs for OFD, as necessary.
- Completing necessary trainings and new trainings, as needed.
- Monitoring and adapting HMS Faculty Development Guidelines.
- Scheduling and tracking one-on-one appointments for faculty and OFD Faculty Director and Director of Basic Science Career Development, including collecting CVs.
- Serving as a liaison from OFD to hospital and HMS-related committees.
- Communicating and collaborating with Health Affairs, Office of Health Equity and Inclusion, Center for Educational Excellence and Innovation, Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, and other BCH/HMS Offices/Departments.
- Collecting OFD data for Health Affairs Units of Service, drafting the Health Affairs Flipbook and any other documents.
- Communicating on a wide spectrum of OFD communications, including preparing the OFD weekly newsletter and monitoring OFD-related correspondence and email.
- Completing other responsibilities, projects, and initiatives, as necessary, to support the work and mission of the OFD and Health Affairs more broadly.
To qualify, you must have:
- Bachelors Degree is required
- 5 years related experience is required
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills are essential. Requires the ability to communicate orally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences both formally and informally.
- Demonstrated ability in program management and project implementation skills. Knowledge of the role of business models in strategic planning and organizational behavior is a plus.
- Proficiency with database design management, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics with production of high quality written, graphic and electronic presentation material
- Demonstrated ability in multidisciplinary collaboration and the ability to initiate, prioritize, and manage concurrent projects, working across multiple departmental lines of authority and accountability and under pressure to meet deadlines.
